A character who was presumed to be dead will reportedly return in “The Mandalorian” Season 2. The return of the character may be linked to Boba Fett making an appearance on the show after the TV series hinted at his presence in a brief scene in the first season.

The following article contains spoilers of “The Mandalorian” Season 2.

Readers who have watched the first season will remember Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) as the highly publicized mercenary who appeared very briefly on the show and was later killed by Toro Calican (Jake Cannavale). According to That Hashtag Show, the mercenary will be returning on the show this year.

Fennec Shand will not be coming back as a corpse. Wen was reportedly spotted filming scenes on the set, which suggests that her character managed to survive after being shot. The mercenary was last seen in a desert on Tatooine with a character who was presumed to be Boba Fett standing next to her.

Did Boba Fett save Fennec? There is no confirmation about how the character will be brought back to life in “The Mandalorian” Season 2. According to fan theories, it could have been Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) or the “Clone Wars” character Cad Bane who bring her back.

The return of Fennec on the show is significant. According to Bespin Bulletin, many of the fans were disappointed to see the character die after the build-up before the show aired.

According to the leak, Sandtroopers and Imperial Gunners will also return on the show this year. It is not clear if the soldiers of the former Empire will be seen on Tatooine or if Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) will meet them on another planet.

There will be many new characters that will be introduced on the show this year and fans expect Bo-Katan to be one of the new characters. Katee Sackhoff leant her voice to the character in “Clone Wars” and “Rebels” animation series, and in a recent interview with DiscussingFilm, she said that while it makes sense for her character to appear in the live action TV series the fans have to wait and watch what happens. The actress is hoping that she will get a chance to play this role on the show in the future.

“The Mandalorian” Season 2 is set to be released in October.
