Maria Sharapova has kept her fit body while in quarantine by working out with Jennifer Lopez and Madonna’s personal trainer.

During the global lockdown, the sporting world has been drastically affected. Pressure was put on athletes as they need to stay in great shape despite being inactive due to self-quarantine. However, this hasn’t been a big problem for ex-Grand Slam winner Sharapova.

Back in February, Sharapova shocked the world when she announced her retirement from the sport she once dominated. But in contrast to a relaxed and lazy lifestyle most retired athletes embraced after retirement, the 33-year-old managed to maintain a physically fit body by working out at home.

In a recent report from Daily Mail, Sharapova revealed that she's been working out at home in an attempt avoid indulging while in lockdown.

It’s hard to argue that Sharapova isn’t having intense workout sessions as she has been receiving instructions from a renowned trainer Tracy Anderson, a U.S. fitness guru best known as Madonna’s personal trainer and for toning the bodies of celebrities like “J.Lo” and Gwyneth Paltrow.

The Wimbledon champ also took the opportunity to urge her fans to maintain physical discipline while admitting that she'd "much rather eat all day.” Sharapova admits that it is quite hard to resist food especially when you are stuck at home but noted that everybody needs that “extra discipline.”

“I am not used to working out alone without any guidance or energy from trainers and athletes being in the same room. In the past seven weeks I've formed a good little routine at home with Tracy Anderson,” Sharapova revealed.

“I'd much rather eat all day. But let's not forget our bodies need the extra discipline, considering how active that pantry is at the moment,” she added.

Sharapova has accomplished so much in her tennis career. During her playing years, she rivaled with another icon Serena Williams. The pair have crossed paths 22 times in their stellar careers.

At the 2004 Wimbledon, an up and coming 17-year old Sharapova crushed Williams 6-1 6-4 to win her first ever Grand Slam. After the remarkable win, many thought it would mark the start of a competitive rivalry. However, what happened next was completely the opposite. Williams bounced back and proved her dominance in their succeeding head-to-head matches. The rivalry turned out rather one-sided as Williams won 20 of the 22 meetings leaving Sharapova way behind with just two wins.
