Mariah Carey Gushes About 'Generous' Boyfriend James Packer At Hollywood Walk Of Fame Ceremony

Mariah Carey was dishing out all the dirt about her personal life and upcoming TV role during her Hollywood Walk of Fame unveiling. The Grammy Award winner arrived on the iconic stretch of sidewalk with her two children, twins Moroccan and Monroe, in tow. As adorable as their family appearance was, it's what she said after getting her star that has the Internet buzzing.

Carey, 45, opened up about her new boyfriend for the first time during an exclusive interview with Extra. The mother-of-two couldn't stop gushing about her Australian beau, James Packer, who wasn't able to be there for her big day. Packer, 47, is the first romantic interest she's been linked to since she and husband Nick Cannon, 34, split nearly one year ago. She wasn't mad about his abscense though -- Carey told reporters he had something "very important" to take care of out of the country. She added that he spoils her anyway, so missing one major milestone in her career was no biggie.

"He's a very generous man," she said.

It has been reported that things between Carey and her new man are getting serious fast. On June 24 TMZ reported that just days after their relationship became public the pair were considering tying the knot. Sources said Packer was completly captivated by Carey and had shared with her his desire to one day make her his wife. Unfortunately she is still in the process of divorcing Cannon.

Carey and Cannon were married in 2008. They said their "I dos" in a secret ceremony in the Bahamas. Three years later they welcomed their twin son and daughter. They were married for six years before announcing their split in December 2014. The two remain friendly, frequently reuniting for the sake of their children.
