While most around the world still anticipates the New Year, Mariah Carey and several other celebrities have already rang in 2013, in Australia.

The pop diva celebrated with her husband, Nick Cannon, in Queensland. The two posed for a New Year's embrace as Cannon held a glass of champagne and Carey smiled, wearing a red dress and glamorous silver headband, the Daily Mail reports.

Carey later tweeted, "Happy New Year from Australia!!!!"

Carey and Cannon are in Australia for her tour there, which begins Jan. 1 at the Gold Coast. She and Cannon, who will be performing DJ sets at the concert, will be playing in Sydney on Jan. 3 and Melbourne on Jan. 5, according to the Mail.

The couple flew out to Queensland on a private jet Friday, from Aspen, Colo., where they celebrated Christmas.

They were spotted sightseeing with their twins, Moroccan and Monroe. They also took a yacht trip around the Great Barrier Reef.

Meanwhile, country star Keith Urban celebrated the New Year a whole hour before Carey and Cannon, in Sydney, New South Wales. Urban celebrated with his wife, Nicole Kidman, and tweeted a photo of himself, with a glorious fireworks show exploding behind him from the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Former Spice Girl Mel B. also celebrated in Sydney. She shared a photo of her family on Twitter with the caption, "Happy new year yippee sydney fireworks da bomb!! Love our family and goodbye 2012 hello 2013."
