Mariah Carey has responded to rumors that she had a fight with Jay-Z before deciding to leave his management company, Roc Nation.

"The only 'explosive' situation I'd ever 'get into' with Hov is a creative tangent, such as our #1 song 'Heartbreaker'!!" she posted on Twitter on Monday, along with a video from her 1999 music album "Heartbreaker." "To the people who make up these lies, I say 'Poof! —Vamoose, sonofa-----!"

She immediately received support from social media users. One of her fans backed the 51-year-old singer and slammed the "fake news."

"For those who don't understand, the media invented a fake news that Mariah had left from Roc Nation, JAY-Z's record label, after they fought," the user wrote. "Mariah came here to defend JAY-Z because they never fought. In fact, their family is super friends."

The rumors began last week when a British publication reported that Carey got into an "explosive" fight with Jay-Z while discussing the singer's future career plans. The report claimed that the meeting between the duo did not go well and the "Fantasy" singer wanted nothing more to do with Jay-Z.

Carey has been associated with Jay-Z's company since 2017. The management company consists of A-list clientele including Kelly Rowland, Megan Thee Stallion, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna.

The singer released her 15th studio album, "Caution," in 2018. Jay-Z's album, "Everything is Love," also released the same year. Besides the "Heartbreaker" music album, the singer made an appearance in the rapper's "Things That U Do." The track was released in 1999.

The rapper was featured in Carey's "You Got Me" in 2002 and he also appeared in the singer's 2005 chartbuster track, "Shake It Off." Carey and Jay-Z share a good relationship beyond work as Carey congratulated Jay-Z's wife, Beyoncé, on her pregnancy announcement.

"Congrats Bey and Jay!!! I'm so happy for you both. Having twins is the most incredible experience ever! Love, Mariah, and the twins," Carey commented when Beyoncé announced her pregnancy news in 2017. Carey also shares 10-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, with her ex-husband Nick Cannon.
