Mariah Yeater Ex: ‘I Know it’s Not Justin Bieber’ [VIDEO]
Update: Nov. 4, 8:45 p.m. EST: A rep for Selena Gomez has denied claims Gomez broke up with Bieber as he attempts to fight the paternity rumors, Us Weekly reports.
Justin Bieber is not the first person Mariah Yeater accused of fathering her now nine-month old baby. Yeater's former boyfriend, John Terranova, told the New York Post that Yeater initially claimed she was pregnant with his child --- and that he almost believed her.
Yeater had reportedly been in California for two months and upon her return to the Las Vegas area, told Terranova she was pregnant with his child. When Terranova protested, Yeater apparently quickly moved on to say the child was conceived while she was in California -- during a brief encounter with Bieber after an October concert in the Staples' center.
I know it's not Justin Bieber, Terranova told the Post. She just wants money. It's a scam.
As for his own paternity, he ruled it out based on the timing of her reported conception. Yeater claimed that she had conceived prior to leaving for California, but according to Terranova, it didn't make sense because she had a doctor's note saying she wasn't pregnant enough for that to be possible.
Terranova told the Post he met Yeater at a Las Vegas High School for students who had been expelled from other schools. They dated for nearly four years before breaking up on account of infidelity on her part.
Terranova's current girlfriend Lacy Jensen, who is pregnant, also commented on the situation to the Post.
Poor kid he's worked so hard for his career and to deal with this. She just wants to get her name out there, Jensen said.
She's a golddigger and just wants someone to take care of her...She was a really big party animal who got around a lot. She was a big slut. She's scandalous.
Yeater has a court date on Dec. 12, resulting from a 2010 battery arrest after an altercation with Terranova.
Yeater's lawyers have said the 20-year-old has pursuing a modest and rightful claim for paternal support from Bieber.
In court papers obtained by Star magazine, Yeater claims that she asked Bieber to wear protection during their very brief bathroom encounter, and that he declined -- saying that he wanted to feel everything.
A court date for the paternity test is set for Dec. 15.
During an appearance on Today, Bieber insisted he had never met Yeater, and that none of the allegations were true.
I know Im going to be a target, but I'll never be a victim, he told Matt Lauer.Every night after the show, I go right from the stage to my car. So it's crazy that people want to make up such allegations. But to set the record straight: None of it is true.
