Marvel Studios Releases Phase Four Schedule, Here's What's To Come
Marvel Studios released a surprise video Monday that provided a glimpse into what’s to come in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including never-before-seen footage slated for a 2021 release.
The first half of the video includes the best moments from the last phase and the last half of the video gives a short preview into “Black Widow, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” and “Eternals.”
The studio has also released a schedule as well, so Marvel fans can go ahead and mark their calendars through 2023.
Here’s a list of what to expect over the next few years from the MCU:
"Black Widow": July 9, 2021
Natasha Romanoff, AKA Black Widow, deals with a force trying to take her down, as well as internal dilemmas.
“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings:” September 3, 2021
Shang-Chi has to face his dreaded past when he's pulled into the Ten Rings organization -- the same terrorist group that kidnapped Tony Stark 13 years ago.
"Eternals:" November 5, 2021
This film will feature a whole new group of never-before-seen superheroes who have been living in secret for thousands of years. It takes place after "Avengers: Endgame" where the group is forced to fight off the Deviants.
"Spider-Man: No Way Home:" December 17, 2021
This film will again star Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon and is directed by Jon Watts.
"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness:" March 25, 2022
Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams and Chiwetel Ejiofor will return in this "Doctor Strange" sequel while welcoming Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch.
"Thor: Love and Thunder:" May 6, 2022
Fans will welcome back Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and the cast will also include Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher.
"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever:" July 8, 2022
This sequel will take viewers through the world of Wakanda into places they've never seen before.
"The Marvels:" November 11, 2022
"The Marvels" is a follow-up to "Captain Marvel" where details have been kept under wraps, except that Nia DeCosta will not only direct the film, but she'll star as Brie Larson as well.
"Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania:" February 17, 2023
Fan favorites Paul Rudd will return as Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly will return as Wasp.
"Guardians of the Galaxy 3:" May 5, 2023
James Gunn will return to direct the third "Guardians of the Galaxy 3" film.
"Fantastic Four:" TBD
Known as "Marvel's First Family," this film will be directed by Watts.
