Leading provider of Blu-ray Disc and DVD product solutions Marvell Technology on Tuesday said its 88DE2710 video processor powers Sony's latest High-End BDP-S5000ES Blu-Ray Disc Player.

It’s the first Sony product to use Marvell's 88DE2710 video format converter, the Company said, as it We're delighted to be selected by Sony to provide the video processing solution for their latest Blu-ray player.”

The Sony's latest Blu-ray player is designed to offer a consistent, high-quality 1080p image, vivid true-to-life pictures, and an immersive home theater experience, and offers BD-Live for interactive content and supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio formats.

It also enables Qdeo-powered Blu-ray platform for its high-end home theaters, which supports BD-Bonus View (profile 1.1), and BD-Live (profile 2.0) as well as legacy red laser media such as DVD, DVD-VR, SVCD, VCD, and CDDA.
