'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel': Rachel Brosnahan Gets 'Stress Dreams' Because Of Dialogues [Watch]
Rachel Brosnahan promoted the return of her comedy-drama show, "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" with the new fourth season and revealed that she gets "stress dreams" due to the dialogues.
The actor, who plays the fictional Miriam Maisel on the Amazon Prime series, shared how difficult it was to memorize all the lines when she appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show over the weekend.
"If you’ve seen the show, as you know, it’s a lot of dialogue. It’s a lot of fast-talking," Brosnahan told host Kelly Clarkson. "[We] have tons of dialogue and we don’t always have a lot of time to memorize it."
The 31-year-old further shared that she finds learning lines late in the night to be a "terrible" idea as she often gets stress dreams because of it.
"So, I find that if I learn lines too late at night," she explained. "I do that terrible thing where you sleep with the script on your chest, then I start running lines in my dreams, and so I start having stress dreams."
Brosnahan went on to explain how her dream goes, "I’ll wake up in my dream and I’m on stage and I’m delivering these lines and I forget one. It’s that naked in front of an audience thing, but my teeth fall out in my dreams."
Based in the late 1950s, "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" revolves around a married woman named Miriam who wants to pursue stand-up comedy. The first season dropped in 2017 to massive success and the show has garnered critical acclaim ever since. The fourth season began streaming on Feb. 18 on Amazon Prime Video.
Besides "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," Brosnahan was recently featured in shows like "Elena of Avalor" and "50 States of Fright."
As for her upcoming projects, the actor will be next featured in a scripted podcast series, "The Miranda Obsession," which is based on the true story of Miranda Grosvenor. The podcast is expected to release in April.
Brosnahan will also feature in "Dead for a Dollar," a thriller flick directed by Walter Hill, which revolves around a professional gambler and a bounty hunter. The movie is currently under post-production.
On the personal front, Brosnahan is married to actor Jason Ralph.
