‘Marvel’s Iron Fist’ Spoilers: Meet The Characters On Netflix’s New Drama
“Marvel’s Iron Fist” is coming to Netflix Friday, and it’s bringing a myriad of new and familiar faces. As audiences get to know Danny Rand, they will also learn about the people he is connected to. When he returns home to New York, he’ll meet some characters that Marvel fans already know plenty about. Get the scoop on the main players in “Iron Fist” Season 1 below:
Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones): Danny was on a plane with his parents when an incident led to their death. He was presumed dead too, but he was actually taken in by monks. Danny was trained to harness the power of the Iron Fist, and he has returned to New York to seek justice and eliminate corruption from his father’s company.
Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup): Joy grew up with Danny until he disappeared. While he was being trained by monks, she was learning how to handle the company with her boyfriend. She was Danny’s best friend, so Danny’s return will be a bit emotional. Danny will also make her question how she has been running the business.
Ward Meachum (Tom Pelphrey): Joy’s brother Ward is in the family business as well, but he doesn’t exactly welcome Danny back with open arms. The return of Iron Fist makes running the business more complicated.

Harold Meachum (David Wenham): Expect the father of the Meachum family to be even more irritated than Ward is by Danny’s return from the dead. Harold was business partners with Danny’s father, but the older men had some serious issues before the Rands’ plane crashed.
Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick): Though she may not want to get involved in Danny’s life, Colleen will relate to the fellow orphan and eventually realize that she has to help him. The dojo owner can keep up with Iron Fist, though. She’s highly trained when it comes to fighting.
Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson): Anyone keeping up with the Marvel/Netflix series doesn’t need an introduction to this character, but new viewers might. Claire is a nurse (who is currently unemployed) who helps superheroes. In “Luke Cage,” she realized that she wants to help more gifted people, and she ended the series picking up a flyer for Colleen’s dojo. The women have grown close while Claire learns how to fight on the battlefield.
Madam Gao (Wai Ching Ho): It’s not just the good guys that are crossing over between Marvel/Netflix series. “Daredevil” fans know Madame Gao is a powerful drug lord who often speaks in riddles. She runs the heroin business in New York, but she’ll particularly challenge Danny in the way that she goes after him. He could take her on physically, so she’ll attack him psychologically.
