Marvel’s NYCC 2016 Schedule: Over 10 Panels For TV Shows And Comics At New York Comic Con
Marvel is coming to New York Comic Con! Though “Doctor Strange” will not host a panel, Marvel Television has plenty to promote at the October convention. Expect plenty of Marvel actors, both veterans and newbies, to be at the Javitz Convention Center in New York for ReedPOP’s annual event. Fans of the comics will also have tons of panels to see too. Several writers and some of the top bosses at Marvel Comics will be there. Check out where to get your Marvel fix at NYCC 2016 below:
Thursday, Oct. 6
MARVEL: 50 Years of Black Panther
Room 1A06, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Writer Ta-Nehisi Coates, artist Brian Stelfreeze and writer Christopher Priest will celebrate T’Challa and his legacy with some special guests.
MARVEL: Breaking Into Comics the Marvel Way
Room 1A24, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Talent scout Rickey Purdin gives the inside scoop on how to become a comic book writer for Marvel.
Marvel Games & the Digital House of Ideas
Room 1A24, 3 to 4 p.m.
Executive editor Ryan Penagos discusses Marvel’s Infinite Comics, Marvel Comics App, Marvel Unlimited and more. Executive producer Mike Jones and creative director Bill Rosemann will deliver fun news about what’s coming next in the world of Marvel games!

Creators Studio with Joe Quesada

Marvel Comics’ Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada talks about his life and career. Buddy Scalera of Comic Book School will host.
Marvel NOW!: Divided We Stand
Room 1A24, 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.
Find out how Civil War II affects the Marvel Universe going forward. Writers Ryan North (“The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl”), Greg Pak (“Totally Awesome Hulk”), Amy Reeder (“Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur”), David F. Walker (“Occupy Avengers”), Jim Zub (“Thunderbolts”) and other guests will give attendees the scoop on upcoming comics.
MARVEL: Infinity Gauntlet 25th Anniversary
Room 1A02, 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.
Writer Jim Starlin is responsible for Thanos and the infinity gauntlet, and he’ll discuss his creation at NYCC.
Marvel Television Presents: “Marvel’s Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D: Ghost Rider”
Main Stage, 7:30 to 8:45 p.m.
Executive Producer Jeph Loeb will moderate a panel with stars Clark Gregg (Coulson), Chloe Bennet (Daisy) and Gabriel Luna (Ghost Rider). Audience members will also get to see “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 4, episode 3 before anyone else.
Saturday, Oct. 8
Marvel: Spider-Man “The Clone Conspiracy”
Room 1A24, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Writer Dan Slott will discuss the comic book event series “Dead No More: The Clone Conspiracy” with some special guests.
MARVEL: Cup O’Joe
Room 1A06, 2:45 to 3:45 p.m.
Joe Quesada will focus solely on Marvel during this Q&A session. Writers Charles Soule (“Inhumans vs. X-Men”) and Nick Spencer (“Captain America”) will appear along with other guests.
Marvel Animation Presents
Room 1A06, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
This panel celebrates “Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six,” “Marvel’s Avengers: Ultron Revolution,” and “Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.” Cort Lane (SVP, Animation and Family Entertainment) and Stephen Wacker (VP, Current Series & Development) will host this panel. Expect exclusive sneak peeks and an announcement about Marvel’s newest animated project.
The Netflix Original Series “Marvel’s Iron Fist”
Main Stage, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
They’ve announced the premiere date (March 17, 2017), but the “Iron Fist” panel will reveal the first footage from the Netflix drama at NYCC. The cast will make their first public appearance while Jeph Loeb moderates again.
Sunday, Oct. 9
“Marvel’s Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell” Premiere
Room 1A06, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
“Marvel’s Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell” follows Hulk, Doctor Strange and the Howling Commandos on a spooky mission. Nightmare wants to take over the world and they have to stop him. Cort Lane will again take on hosting duties at this family-friendly movie premiere.
FX Networks Presents: “Legion”
Hammerstein Ballroom, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
“Legion,” part of the “X-Men” movie universe, will debut a new sneak peek at NYCC. The show follows David Haller (Dan Stevens) a man who believes he is crazy but is actually a mutant. Stevens will appear with his co-stars Aubrey Plaza and Rachel Keller. Showrunner Noah Hawley and executive producers Lauren Shuler Donner and Jeph Loeb will be there too.
