‘Masked Singer’ Season 2 Spoilers: Pre-Premiere Contestant Clues, Costumes, Guesses And Theories

After becoming a breakout hit last season, Fox’s hidden-celebrity singing competition, “The Masked Singer,” is back with Season 2 on Wednesday night!

With all-new episodes comes all-new costumes and contestants. Fans will once again get clues during each Nick Cannon-hosted episode that’ll help them guess the celebrities under each mask, with the returning judges/commentators — Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke — sharing their best theories along the way, as well.

Before the premiere airs tomorrow, though, there are already some clues out there for fans to dive into as the network aired a special sneak peek episode of “The Masked Singer” Season 2 a couple of weeks ago, featuring video clue packages and some performance clips.

Below, check out all 16 of the costumes for Season 2 of “The Masked Singer,” as well as the clues shared during the pre-premiere sneak peek and a couple of our contestant guesses.

The Rottweiler

Sneak peek video clues:

• Their bark is just as big as their bite.
• They’re a perfectionist.

The Fox

Sneak peek video clues:

• They say foxes are underestimated and will eat almost anything
• They call themselves a superhero and say they’re ready to devour the competition.

The Butterfly

Sneak peek video clues:

• They’re ready to shake up the competition.
• They ask, “Are you ready to feel the butterfly effect?”
• They pray (extra emphasis on that word) that they don’t fall over because of their costume.

The Eagle

Sneak peek video clues:

• The other contestants are their prey and will be saluting them at the end.
• Wearing a mask allows them to live out their wildest dreams.
• If you know an eagle’s body temperature, you might be hot on their tail, they explain while riding a motorcycle in the desert.

The Ice Cream

Sneak peek video clues:

• They’re seen standing on a balcony, looking out at the view.
• They say they’re going to win because the last singer on the stage has to be dessert.
• They’re seen standing in front of a calendar, open to February, with hearts marked on Feb. 14.
• They say they’re made of sugar and dairy and live for happy February.

The Tree

Sneak peek video clues:

• They’re excited to be giving the gift of joy through all of their delicious (extra emphasis on that word) performances.

The Egg

Sneak peek video clues:

• Their mom always told them, “Life has an expiration date, so always work hard for the first and last vowels of the alphabet.”
• They can’t tell if you if they’re a pro singer.
• They’re seen frolicking in a field and also standing on a small stage with a microphone and red curtains.

The Leopard

Sneak peek video clues:

• They’re ready to move meowntains with their spectacular purrformances.
• They use a regal, elegant voice for the video package.
• The show’s security reminds them of the secret service, and they should know because they’ve been spotted with the president.

The Flamingo

Sneak peek video clues:

• She’s ready to rock the competition.
• She loves her mask as much as she loves mascara.
• She’s one fiery and fierce bird.
• Fans will be tickled pink when she unmasks.
• In the sneak peek of her performance, she sings “Lady Marmalade.”

Who is the Flamingo? Here’s our guess based on the clip of her performance and the clues: Singer Adrienne Bailon, who starred in “The Cheetah Girls,” which features a quote about cheetahs being the fiercest in the jungle.

The Skeleton

Sneak peek video clues:

• They want their Skeleton Crew to know that they feel like they’ve died and gone to heaven being on the show.
• They’re seen standing next to a grave with the numbers “4261” on it.

The Penguin

Sneak peek video clues:

• They already have their tux for the finale, but they’d still need to get their hair done, they say, before showing the Penguin in a few different hairstyles.
• They promise if you think you’re getting warmer to guessing who they are, you’re actually getting colder.

The Panda

Sneak peek video clues:

• They know they’ve got the moves and energy to go all the way.
• They know victory will taste sweet, like bamboo, especially the way they prepare it.
• They love new challenges and pushing themselves to the limit.

Thingamajig

Sneak peek video clues:

• He says he’s kind of a big deal.
• He has a puzzling persona.
• Don’t call him Chewbacca, though they do celebrate together.
• In the sneak peek of her performance, he sings Kacey Musgraves’ “Rainbow.”

Who is the Thingamajig? Here’s our guess based on the clip of his performance and the clues: Wayne Brady, who is not only a Grammy-nominated singer but also the host of “Let’s Make a Deal.”

The Flower

Sneak peek video clues:

• They blossom in every field they plant themselves in and are ready to branch out yet again.
• They’re going to put their petals to the metal.
• The flowers behind the contestant spell out “3-1-4.”
• They’re seen standing in a back alley with graffiti on the walls.
• Fans will be blown away when the contestant takes off their mask.

The Black Widow

Sneak peek video clues:

• They’re going to spin a web around the competition.
• A Black Widow playing card, or tarot card, is shown during the video.
• She’s going to leave people “hanging by a thread” about who she is.

The Ladybug

As Fox unveiled Ladybug during the Emmys on Sunday, and not during its sneak peek episode, there are no clues yet about the contestant.

“The Masked Singer” Season 2 premieres on Wednesday on Fox at 8 p.m. EDT.
