Mass Effect 3 Demo Released on Valentine's Day: 'Who Needs Love When You Got Reapers to Kill?' [TWEETS]
Fans of Mass Effect will be getting a Valentine's Day treat today. The demo for third installment of BioWare's inter-galaxy based gaming sensation, to be released on March 6, is now available for Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC. Gaming Blend reported that both a single-player and multiplayer preview of the game will be available.
In the single player mode, gamers will get to preview two scenes from the campaign, the first of which shows the Reapers' invasion of Earth. The second scene, which comes later on in the game, shows Commander Shephard and his team vying for alien support in the war against the Reapers. However, the multiplayer option is only available for owners of Battlefield 3 and its Online Pass. The general public will be able to preview the multiplayer mode on Feb. 17.
True to the Mass Effect stigma, players are given customization control in the preview. Fans can create their own characters and select their abilities, and Kinect users will be able to toggle with the new voice command feature as well.
And according to Twitter, some gamers are ditching Valentine's Day to shoot some aliens.
All alone this Valentine's Day? Mass Effect 3 demo is out today. Check it out! It will love you, even though no one else does, one user tweeted.

When Mass Effect 2 was released in Jan. 2010, over 2 million copies were sold in the U.S. during its first week. Will the gaming franchise's third chapter live up to the hype?
