A sex party drove the plot in the previous episode of Showtime’s “Masters Of Sex.” Surprisingly, Libby Masters had sex with her soon-to-be ex-husband Dr. William “Bill” Masters. At the end of episode 4, Virginia Johnson came clean to Bill and told her the truth – she never married Dan Logan despite accepting his marriage proposal.

What will happen in “Masters Of Sex” Season 4, episode 5? A lot of interesting things. According to the official synopsis on Showtime, “Outliers” will show Masters (Michael Sheen) and Johnson’s (Lizzy Caplan) legal troubles come to a head as the trial begins. Lawyer Bram Keller (David Walton) will lead the battle in the courtroom.

Although Virginia does her best to revive their career, Bill faces the reality of what the charges could mean for him, Virginia and his practice. Will Dr. Masters come out of his legal troubles victorious? Or is she going to lose his practice?

The promo of “Masters Of Sex” Season 4, episode 5 shows Bill and Libby on a path to possible reconciliation. He tells Virginia of his possible reunion with his wife of 20 years. However, Gini isn’t supportive of this new change. She tells him that he’s falling into old patterns and that it can be dangerous.

Of course Virginia isn’t happy that Libby and Bill are working on their marriage. She realized in episode 4 that they belong together. Bill knows the real her and loved her anyway. In episode 5, “Masters Of Sex” fans will see Gini trying to reconcile with Bill. But Dr. Masters wants to be with his wife.

While one marriage might get fixed, another couple will have to deal with their issues. Betty (Annaleigh Ashford) urges her girlfriend Helen (Sarah Silverman) to tell her family about their relationship and the truth about how she got pregnant. However, a heavily pregnant Helen is reluctant to tell her parents that she is a lesbian.

A sneak peek video released by Showtime shows Libby telling Bill she wants to try the 69 sex position with him in bed. She has truly become a woman living in the time of the sexual revolution.

“Masters Of Sex” Season 4, episode 5 premieres on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 10 p.m. EDT on Showtime.
