Former "Today" anchor Matt Lauer has continued to make headlines in 2019 over two years after being ousted due to his alleged misconduct while he served as an anchor on the popular NBC morning show. However, the former TV personality still has a considerable net worth despite his alleged bad behavior. So, just how much is Lauer worth today?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, the journalist is worth $60 million. Per the publication, Lauer once made $28 million a year "at his peak" while appearing on "Today."

Additionally, he had, at one time, accumulated quite the real estate portfolio as well. Reportedly, he once paid $33.5 million for a 12-bedroom home in the Hamptons, per Town & Country. He had also purchased a $5.882 million dollar apartment with then-wife Annette Roque, which has since been sold.

When Lauer and Roque settled their divorce in June, Lauer reportedly agreed to pay her $20 million in assets, reports Page Six.

Earlier this fall, both Lauer and the news network were reportedly "bracing for bombshells" due to the content of Ronan Farrow's 2019 book "Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators." Farrow shared after the book's release that a proven "paper trail" highlighted the fact that the network had allegedly knowingly paid off Lauer's accusers for years prior to the information of his alleged wrongdoings coming out in 2017.

Since then, Lauer resurfaced in the public eye on several occasions. After being publicly accused of rape by Brooke Nevils, Lauer responded to her accusations in an open letter. He also gave an interview in October where he admitted that he had made "numerous serious mistakes."

Additionally, Lauer's scandal has also been mimicked on Jennifer Aniston's Apple TV+ project, "The Morning Show," which she discussed in November.
