May 21st ‘Doomsday’: Less Than 2 Hours Away
***Update: No New Zealand Earthquake: Camping Proven False***
Harold Camping’s May 21st ‘Doomsday’ is less than 2 hours away. Camping claimed that on May 21st, 6 p.m. local time, a rolling earthquake around the world will mark the beginning of the end times.
Since the sun rises first on New Zealand, 6 p.m. local time in New Zealand marks the beginning of the end.
That’s less than two hours away. Below is the May 21st ‘Doomsday’ clock set to Wellington, New Zealand time.
Six p.m. in New Zealand corresponds to 2 p.m. in Beijing, 7 a.m. in London, 2 a.m. in New York, and 11 p.m. on Friday in Los Angeles.
Camping, for his part, said he’ll watch the devastating earthquakes unfold on TV. However, when he is confronted with the reality, he’ll likely claim error in his ‘Doomsday’ calculation, like he did in his first failed prediction in September 1994.
How will reality prove him wrong? First, the lack of earthquakes. Second, the fact that no one – let alone 200 million people – will likely be raptured into the sky.
