“Teen Wolf” alum Meagan Tandy is appearing in next week’s episode of “The Mayor.”

According to the synopsis for Season 1, episode 6 of the ABC series, Tandy will play the role of Danielle. Details about Danielle are being kept under wraps, but promo photos for the installment suggest that she’s someone from Courtney’s (Brandon Micheal Hall) past.

In the episode, Courtney goes on a date with an old flame. But after realizing that the girl has ulterior motives for going out with him, Courtney realizes that hidden agendas also apply to dating now that he’s a public figure. That realization leads Courtney to seek T.K. (Marcel Spears) and Jermaine’s (Bernard David Jones) help to recreate a throwback prom-posal to hopefully get a second chance with someone he truly likes.

Kali Hawk, who made her debut as Transit Union lawyer Amber Powell last episode, is again listed as a guest star in episode 6. Is Amber the girl with ulterior motives? Or is she the one Courtney truly likes?

After striking a deal with the Union at the end of Season 1, episode 5, Amber personally handed Courtney her calling card. Since the new Union contract doesn’t expire until after three years, Courtney was confused as to why Amber was giving him her digits. To enlighten the clueless mayor, Amber said: “It doesn’t have to be about business.”

Apparently, the episode will explore Courtney’s love life. But will it also acknowledge the spark between him and his chief of staff Val (Lea Michele)?

Series creator Jeremy Bronson told TVLine last month that Courtney and Val “are coming at problems very, very differently. Courtney is super-smart but he attacks everything with his heart first, while Valentina is very tactical. There’s a great chemistry there naturally.” But when asked if their relationship will turn romantic, Bronson said: “My general philosophy on things like that is to see how those relationships develop organically.”

In addition to Tandy and Hawk, Arsenio Hall also guest stars in episode 6 as Reverend Ocho Okoye. According to Entertainment Weekly, Reverend Ocho is a role model and occasional father figure to Courtney. In the episode, Reverend Ocho tries to get a hesitant Dina (Yvette Nicole Brown) to join the church choir which leads to a soulful result.

“The Mayor” Season 1, episode 6, titled “Will You Accept This Rose?” airs on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 9:30 p.m. EDT on ABC.
