Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin called it quits after nine years of marriage.

Good, 40, and Franklin, 43, have decided to part ways. The couple released a joint statement to People to announce that they are getting a divorce.

"After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected," the couple said. "We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There's no one at fault; we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love."

They continued, "We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we've spent together as husband and wife. We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other."

The "Harlem" star and the film producer met when they were working on the 2011 film "Jumping the Broom." They got engaged in May 2012 and tied the knot in June that same year. Their split announcement surprised many as the two still gushed over each other when they celebrated their wedding anniversary six months ago.

Good shared throwback photos of them over the years to mark their marriage milestone. She also accompanied it with a sweet message for Franklin.

“TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, MY HUSBAND| PURPOSE PARTNER, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!” Good wrote on Instagram. “THIS MAKES #9 AND ETERNITY YOU GO! YOU ARE THE BEST DECISION I’VE EVER MADE (BESIDES LOVING JESUS LOL). I LOVE YOU WITH EVERYTHING INSIDE ME … IN THIS LIFE AND IN THE NEXT. YOUR WIFE, OMG.”

Several fans commented on her post and questioned the couple's decision to split because they thought everything was going fine between the two. Some were hoping that they could work out their issues and would not get a divorce. Another was furious about their split.

"Awwww I pray y’all can work this out," one commented.

"Please stay together. We love you both," another added.

"So what happened? Well, Hollywood happened. Can't mix light n darkness," another speculated.

Franklin also marked the celebration with a sweet post on Instagram, making his followers wonder why they decided to separate.
