Meet The Cast Of ‘The Baker And The Beauty’ On ABC
Now that a staple of their comedy block has ended, ABC is hoping to bring some new laughs to their lineup with the premiere of the new Spring comedy series, “The Baker and The Beauty.”
The new show follows the story of a man, Daniel, who works in his family bakery that does everything his Cuban family expects of him—but everything changes on a wild night out in Miami where he unexpectedly runs into international superstar Noa Hamilton. Sparks fly between the two and they have to decide whether their connection is worth upending both of their lives—as well as the ones of those they love.
So who stars in this modern-day romance? Get to know the cast below.
Dan Bucatinsky (Lewis)
Bucatinsky may best be known for his Emmy-Award winning role as James Novak on “Scandal,” or his roles as Andy Shalowitz in “24: Legacy” and Jerome Sokoloff in “Web Therapy.” He has also appeared in the films “Second Act,” “The Post” and “Under the Tuscan Sun.”
David Del Rio (Mateo Garcia)
Del Rio’s best-known roles include Felix Garcia in “The Troop,” Kolio in “Pitch Perfect,” and Putzie in “Grease: Live!”
Belissa Escobedo (Natalie Garcia)
Escobedo is a new face on the scene, making her first TV debut in “Baker and the Beauty.” She is also attached to the Quibi limited series “Don’t Look Deeper.”
Carlos Gomez (Rafael Garcia)
Gomez has had a long career that has seen him take on guest roles on a large number of television shows, as well as the roles of Carlos Sanchez in “The Glades” Jose Campo in “Madam Secretary” and Jose Menendez in “Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Brothers.”
Nathalie Kelley (Noa Hamilton)
Like her superstar character, Kelley is known for several different roles. She has starred as Neela in “Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift,” and Beth in “Take Me Home Tonight,” as well as Dani Alvarez in “Body of Proof,” Grace in “UnREAL,” Sybil in “Vampire Diaries” and most recently as Crystal Flores on “Dynasty.” Music fans may also recognize her as the woman who starred in the music video for Bruno Mars’ breakout hit “Just The Way You Are.”
Victor Rasuk (Daniel Garcia)
Rasuk’s credits include Rico Rodriguez in the 2008 movie “Stop-Loss,” Jose in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy and Rico in “The Mule.” When it comes to television roles, his roles have included Dr. Ryan Sanchez on “ER,” Cameron Calderon in “How To Make It in America,” Ben Caldwell in “Stalker” and Disco in “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.”
Michelle Veintimilla (Vanessa)
Best known as Bridgit Pike/Firefly in “Gotham,” Veintimilla has also had television credits on “The Gifted,” “Downward Dog,” “Limitless,” “Blue Bloods” and “The Good Wife.”
Lisa Vidal (Mari Garcia)
Vidal may be easily recognizable to some viewers for her large number of past roles, but some of her biggest included Sandy Lopez on “ER,” Inspector Magdalena Ramirez on “The Division,” Christina Martinez on “The Event,” Daisie Villa on “Rosewood” and Kara on “Being Mary Jane.”
“The Baker and the Beauty” premieres Monday, April 13 at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
