Meet The ‘I Am The Night’ Cast

TNT’s latest drama has some big names. “I Am The Night” stars Chris Pine, who reteams with “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins for this mysterious miniseries, which was inspired by a true story.

“I Am the Night” follows Fauna Hodel (India Eisley), a teen who is given away at birth and grows up in Nevada. Fauna she makes a discovery that leads her to question where exactly she came from. As she investigates, she meets Jay Singletary (Pine). The ruined reporter is “haunted by the case that undid him.” They put together the clues, which lead them to Dr. George Hodel (Jefferson Mays), “a man involved in some of Hollywood’s darkest debauchery, and possibly, its most infamous unsolved crime.”

Pine isn’t the only familiar face in “I Am The Night.” Meet the cast below:

Chris Pine is known for his roles as Captain Kirk in “Star Trek” and Steve Trevor in “Wonder Woman,” but he has two roles in “I Am The Night. He executive produces and stars as Jay Singletary. The former Marine is now a reporter/paparazzo.

India Eisley has been in movies like “Underworld Awakening” and “Look Away,” but TV fans might remember her as Ashley on “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.” In “I Am The Night,” Eisley plays Fauna Hodel, often called Pat, a young girl in the middle of an identity crisis.

Jefferson Mays has had a long career that includes roles on “The Americans,” “Law & Order: SVU ” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” The Tony winner stars in the TNT limited series as George Hodel, a doctor who lost his famous Hollywood clients and friends after a big scandal.

Yul Vazquez has made his way to plenty of hit TV series. He has been on “Narcos: Mexico,” “Midnight, Texas,” “Divorce” and “The Looming Tower.” Now, he plays Billis. The network describes the character as “a freelancing LAPD sergeant and problem-solver for the brass whose fear has turned to hate. He finds himself caught in the vise of corruption and the interests he has to protect.”

Justin Cornwell has been in the “Training Day” TV series and movie “We Are Boats.” He stars as Terrence Shye, an engineering apprentice who is torn between corporate and street life.

Dylan Smith is recognizable from “Maze Runner: The Death Cure” as well as “Into the Badlands.” His character Sepp is an artist who is haunted by guilt.

Jay Paulson has been seen on “Mad Men,” “Beyond” and Scorpion.” He plays Ohls, an LAPD detective and Korean War vet who believes he owes his life to Jay Singletary.

Golden Brooks has been on “Girlfriends,” “Blunt Talk” and “Yellowstone.” She plays Jimmy Lee. According to TNT, she is “Fauna’s mother, a former lounge singer, still consumed by bitterness from the injustice of Jim Crow Mississippi and a life of missed opportunities and squandered chances.”

Leland Orser has been seen recently in “Berlin Station ” and “Ray Donovan,” but audiences might also remember him from movies like “Se7en” and “Saving Private Ryan.” He will appear in “I Am The Night” as Peter Sullivan, a Night Managing Editor for the Los Angeles Times.

“I Am The Night” premieres Monday at 9 p.m. EST on TNT.
