Meet Netflix’s ‘The Holiday Calendar’ Movie Cast, Watch Trailer
After its successful original Christmas movies in 2017, Netflix is back for 2018 with a whole new batch of holiday flicks. Its latest, “The Holiday Calendar,” was released on the streaming platform today and is ready for viewer consumption.
The film follows a struggling photographer who gets handed down a Christmas advent calendar. Each day, after she opens it up and withdraws the daily contents, she starts to realize that the calendar’s predicting the future with its gifts. With this seemingly magical holiday item, she might just find love this Christmas.
Now that you know what the movie’s all about, let’s get you acquainted with the “Holiday Calendar” cast.
Kat Graham (Abby Sutton)
Last year, Graham wrapped up her role as Bonnie Bennett on The CW’s long-running supernatural series, “The Vampire Diaries,” which she starred on since 2009. During her time on the series, she was also in a few movies, including 2011’s “Honey” sequel and 2014’s “Addicted.”
Recently, she was in the Tupac Shakur biopic, “All Eyez on Me” and the comedy, “Where’s the Money.” She also currently voices the character of April O’Neil on “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
Quincy Brown (Josh)
In 2015, Brown starred in the drama, “Brotherly Love,” with Keke Palmer, Cory Hardrict and Romeo Miller, but 2016 is the year his acting career really blossomed. He was cast as Derek on Fox’s musical series, “Star,” and has been on the show ever since.
Ethan Peck (Ty)
The 32-year-old actor’s been doing rom-coms since his early acting days. In 1999, he played a love interest, Michel, in Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s “Passport to Paris” flick. After that, he had a few television guest spots and a few movie roles, until he landed the male lead in ABC Family’s (now Freeform) TV show adaptation of the 1999 rom-com, “10 Things I Hate About You.” He played the role of Patrick Verona, which was played by the late Heath Ledger in the original film, in the 2009 series, which lasted for two seasons.
Most recently, he was in the 2017 rom-com series, “I Ship It,” and the 2018 drama flick, “The Honor List.”
Ron Cephas Jones (Gramps Sutton)
Television has been very good for Jones recently, as he’s had role after role the last few years. In 2015, he starred in USA’s “Mr. Robot” and the following year, he headed over to Netflix for a role on “The Get Down.” That same year, he also began his run on “Luke Cage,” where he played Bobby Fish. As if that wasn’t enough for Jones, he also started his “This Is Us” gig as William Hill that same year.
“The Holiday Calendar” is now available to stream on Netflix.
