Mega Millions Lottery Hits $370 Million: What Are Your Odds Of Winning Friday’s Jackpot?
The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has topped $370 million as the Friday night drawing nears, but what are your chances of taking home the big prize?
The $370 million jackpot is one of the largest prizes offered this year, and it is the second time in almost a year that it has hit this level after no one matched all six numbers on Tuesday’s drawing, according to lottery officials.
The winning numbers for Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing were 4, 27, 32, 57, and 63 with a Mega Ball of 22. Watch Tuesday’s Mega Ball drawing below.
But it is not the largest Mega Millions jackpot of the year. That prize marked over $1.05 billion on Jan. 22, with a winning ticket sold in Michigan to a group of players that took home the prize pot. It was the second-largest prize in the lottery’s history.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot ever amassed was $1.537 billion in 2018, won by a single ticket bought in South Carolina.
Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot of $370 million has a cash option of $254.1 million.
The chance of winning the jackpot is less than 1 in 302 million, Fox News reported. Winners must match five white balls and one gold Mega Ball to win the jackpot. The lottery said there are also nine other ways to win a prize in the game.
Players also have the chance of winning from $2 up to $3 million instantly. The lottery said that the chance of winning a prize in the Mega Millions game is 1 in 24.
Friday’s Mega Millions lottery drawing will be held at 11 p.m. EDT. If no jackpot winner is pulled on Friday, the next drawing will be held on May 11, where the jackpot is expected to grow significantly.
The Mega Millions lottery is not the only lottery that is building in size. The Powerball lottery has reached $157 million with a cash option of $108.2 million. The next Powerball drawing takes place on Saturday.
