Mega Millions Winning Numbers: Did Anyone Win The Friday, Sept. 16 Jackpot?

The Friday night Mega Millions drawing did not yield a winner for the $256 million jackpot with a cash value of $137.7 million.

The winning Mega Millions numbers were 15, 30, 35, 38, and 66, with a gold Mega Ball of 12. The Megaplier was 4X.

Although there were no grand prize winners following the latest drawing, one person managed to become an instant millionaire. A player from Indiana hit the Match 5 and automatically won $1 million.

However, since the player didn't purchase the Megaplier, they missed their chance to increase their winnings for the night to $4 million.

Aside from the lone millionaire, there were several other players who won smaller monetary prizes from the Friday drawing.

Twenty-one players hit the Match 4 plus the gold Mega Ball, winning $10,000 apiece. Meanwhile, only three players were able to hit the Match 4 plus gold Mega Ball with a 4X Megaplier purchase and won $40,000 each.

The rest of the Mega Millions prizes from the night ranged between $2 and $2,000.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be worth an estimated $277 million with a cash option of $149 million. The numbers will be drawn on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

The latest lottery jackpot comes after two players in New Jersey managed to win $10,000 each in the Tuesday drawing. The winning tickets were purchased at Mullica Hill Supermarkets in Mullica Hill and a Wawa in Long Beach.

Jackpot winners can receive grand prize winnings through a one-time lump sum payment or an annuity.

Those who opt for the annuity receive one immediate payment, followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

Mega Millions can be played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the Virgin Islands.
