Mega Millions Winning Numbers: Did Anyone Win The Tuesday, Dec. 28 Jackpot?

The Tuesday night drawing for Mega Millions did not yield a jackpot winner for the estimated $201 million pot with a cash value of $145.2 million.

The winning Mega Millions numbers were 3, 5, 8, 31, 38 with a gold Mega Ball of 4. The Megaplier was 3X.

Along with there being no grand prize winners following the latest drawing, there were also no instant millionaires. If a player would have hit the Match 5, they would have won a $1 million prize. However, if they would have matched five numbers with the Megaplier purchase, they would have won a $3 million prize.

Although there were no big winners from the latest drawing, there were plenty of other small prizes that resulted from the night.

Thirty-five players hit the Match 4 plus the gold Mega Ball and won $10,000 each. Meanwhile, seven players hit the Match 4 plus the gold Mega Ball with a 3X Megaplier purchase, winning $30,000. The other Mega Millions wins from the night ranged between $2 and $1,500.

The next Mega Millions drawing is worth an estimated $221 million, with a cash option of $159.6 million. The numbers will be drawn on Friday, Dec. 31.

Lottery winners have the option to receive their winnings through a one-time lump sum payment or an annuity. Those who chose the annuity receive one immediate payment that is followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% every year.

Mega Millions can be played in 45 states as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia.
