Megan Fox Broadway Debut in '24 Hours Plays'
Megan Fox will make her Broadway debut in November for the 10th annual 24 Hours Plays project.
Twenty-four stars will join six writers, six directors, two musical guests and a production staff to produce six plays for the annual collaboration project where six plays are put on in 24 hours.
This year, the stars of 24 Hours Plays will include Megan Fox, Jesse Eisenberg, Julia Stiles, Jason Biggs, Justin Bartha, John Krasinski, Nia Vardalos, Sarah Silverman and Woody Harrelson among others. The project is produced by 24 Hour Company and Freestyle Picture Company for Urban Arts Partnership.
The six plays will be staged on Nov. 14 at the American Airlines Theater. Each ticket costs $250 and the proceeds will go to Urban Arts Partnership, which supports the intellectual, social and artistic development of underserved public school students through arts-integrated education programs to close the achievement gap.
The stars, writers, directors, musical guests and production staff will get together on Nov. 13 to start production on the plays. Each cast member will bring a costume, prop, special skill or stage desire to inspire a story, the BBC reported. The writers then compose 10-minute plays based on the suggestions, which need to be finished by the morning of Nov. 14. At 9 a.m. the cast reconvenes and rehearses for 12 hours. At 8 p.m. on Nov 14. the six plays will be performed for a live audience.
Megan Fox launched her film career in 2004 after dabbling in television since 2001. The 25-year-old star's breakout role was the blockbuster film Transformers in 2007. She is the lead female role in the upcoming 2011 film The Crossing. Fox will perform on stage for the first time in 2011 for the 24 Hours Plays project.
