Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are facing backlash from some social media users for their "unacceptable" and "disgusting" religion-inspired Halloween getups.

On Sunday, Fox and Kelly took to Instagram to reveal their costumes for this year's Halloween festivities.

Photos and a video showed the 32-year-old rapper dressed up as a priest in a black and red robe and the 36-year-old actress sporting black PVC lingerie, fishnet stockings, thigh-high black boots, a silk shawl and a dog collar.

In their Halloween snaps, Fox can be seen kneeling on the ground while tied to a chained leash and receiving Communion bread from her fiancé.

"On Sundays we take communion," Fox wrote in the caption, along with emojis of prayer hands and rosary beads.

Photos obtained by the Daily Mail also showed the couple dressed in their controversial costumes while attending Vas Morgan's party in West Hollywood, California, Saturday.

Social media users were quick to call out Fox and Kelly, claiming that their Halloween costumes were "offensive" and "mocked" Christianity.

"What happened to cultural appropriation? Why is it wrong to dress up as an Indian but okay to mock the Catholic faith[?] It's absolutely abhorrent and offensive and I'm so sick of the double standard!" one user wrote.

Another commented, "Let this be mocking ANY other religion/worldview and everyone would be so upset. I swear the obsession with mocking Jesus and the Christian faith is just so sickening and hateful. Not surprised though."

"This is disgusting and so not acceptable. Celebrities have no idea or respect these days. May God bless you because you clearly need his guidance and not the devils," a third user said, while another wrote, "Unacceptable. No one should ever mock someone else's religion."

Fox and Kelly have yet to address the criticism, and the post is still up on the actress' official Instagram account.

The "Transformers" actress and Kelly, born Colson Baker, are in the middle of wedding preparations following their engagement earlier this year.

"Megan and MGK are not in a huge rush to tie the knot but have been starting to engage in the planning process," an unnamed source told E! News back in March. "They would love to get married next year if they can nail down all of the details by then, but they don't have a firm timeline."

Fox and Kelly got engaged in January after almost two years of dating. The pair met on the set of their film "Midnight in the Switchgrass" in 2020.

Together, the couple has four kids in total from previous relationships. Fox shares three sons, 10-year-old Noah, 8-year-old Bodhi and 6-year-old Journey, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, while Kelly, who has never been married, co-parents a 13-year-old daughter with ex-girlfriend Emma Cannon.
