Megan Piper: Porn Star Disappointed With School's Decision, Was Excited to Meet Stone's Family
For Mike Stone, who had invited porn star Megan Piper to his prom night, all the pieces were falling amazingly into place, till the school authorities banned Piper from entering school premises.
Obviously, prom is the most important night of the high school life and for Stone, who hails from Minnesota, the night would have been literally magical had he got his dream date to the party. The 18-year-old high school senior, who had sent some 600 invitations to various celebrities asking them to join him for his big event, got lucky when two of the celebrities responded back. Emy Reyes and Megan Piper, both adult film stars, responded to his request.
Reyes had said, I would love tooo[sic], and Piper replied saying: If you can get me there, then yes.
But then the school authorities interfered and said that the 19-year-old porn star could not be let inside the school premises.
Patty Phillips, superintendent of the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District, told FoxNews.com in an email that Piper's appearance in the school would be inconsistent with two district policies regarding visitors allowed in the school premises.
The school's interference has not only upset Mike stone, who according to his mother has special needs, but has also disappointed Piper, who did not attend her own prom night.
Although disappointed, the porn star says she understands. I'm not thrilled; I kind of wanted to go, but I understand, Piper said in a telephone interview with Huffington post.
Piper said that apart from the prom, she was also looking forward to meeting Stone's parents, receiving a corsage, posing for pictures with his friends and doing all the normal things kids would be doing for prom.
Stone's mother Diven Stone seems pretty OK with the idea of her son's date with a porn star. They apparently had no idea of the matter till principal telephoned them and let them know.
It shouldn't matter if someone is a porn star, a construction worker, a teacher, a principal or a homemaker. What does their profession have to do with anything? That doesn't make them a bad person, Stone's mother told Daily Dot.
Its not just his mother but a whole army of people on Twitter and other social networking sites, cheering him and even calling him a hero.
[You're] my new short term hero right along with Jeremy Lin and Tim Tebow. Have u started a fundraiser? tweeted @WhooFleuryScore.
Piper, who seems a little stunned by all that is going on, says she has no idea what she would have done if she was Stone's parent.
I don't know what I would think if I were them, she said.
Although there were some rumors flying about the prom being cancelled for Stone's school, Jennifer McNeil, a representative for the school district, told The Huffington Post that the Tartan High School prom has not been canceled and the dance will take place on May 12 at the Landmark Center in St. Paul.
