Megan Thee Stallion, who was allegedly shot by Tory Lanez earlier this month, described the incident during an Instagram Live on Monday, July 27.
The 25-year-old rapper told her followers that she had to undergo surgery.
"I was shot in both of my feet, and I had to get surgery to get the s--t taken out, the bullets taken out, and it was super scary," she said.
Stallion also said the incident "shook her up."
"It was like just the worst experience of my life, and it’s not funny. There’s nothing to joke about," she said.
"I didn’t deserve to get shot. I didn’t do s--t, and thank God the bullets didn’t touch bones, they didn’t break tendons," she continued.
Thanking her friends for helping her move on, she said, "I definitely had to sit my ass down and pray on it, and I do feel a lot better, and thank God for the people I have around me that are actually here for me and are actually my friends … would never turn on me for no amount of money, no amount of clout. That wouldn’t make up stories about me to save face."
On July 12, 27-year-old Lanez allegedly shot the rapper following an argument inside his vehicle. Police arrived at the scene and rushed Stallion to a hospital. Lanez was arrested on a concealed weapons charge after a gun was found inside the vehicle. He was released after he posted a $35,000 bail.
Days after the incident, the rapper took to Instagram to confirm that she was shot. She did not name the person who shot her.
“I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery," Stallion posted on Instagram.
