  • Tory Lanez was accused of shooting Stallion back in July

Megan Thee Stallion is more popular and has produced more hits than Tory Lanez. Does this mean she is richer than the rapper who shot her?

Megan Thee Stallion was born in Bexar County, Texas. She broke into the scene with "Hot Girl Summer" in 2019 which went on to rank on different music charts such as the U.S. Rap Chart, U.S. R&B Hip-Hop/R&B chart and Billboard Hot 100 chart, per Celebrity Net Worth.

Due to the achievements on her relatively young career, Forbes included her on its 30 under 30 Music 2020 list. Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, collaborated with DaBaby for her single “Cash S--t.” The year 2019 was her breakout year as she was able to take home recognitions from MTV Video Music Awards, Billboard Women and BET Hip Hop Awards.

On the personal side, the “WAP” rapper was previously romantically involved with Moneybagg Yo. The two worked on two songs together, “All Dat” and “Make A Bag.” But both of them denied being in a relationship with each other.

Stallion’s net worth is around $3 million. On the other hand, Lanez’s fortune is estimated at $2 million. Lanez started in the industry earlier than Pete and enjoyed success around 2016. Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is credited for hits such as “Henny in Hand.” Peterson also collaborated with other artists such as Soulja Boy, Sean Kingston, Kid Ink, Bow Wow, YG, and Ty Dolla $ign in recent years, another Celebrity Net Worth report revealed.

Sources claimed that Lanez shot Stallion following a heated conversation back in July. Lanez allegedly fired three shots at Stallion, injuring her foot. According to TIME, the Canadian rapper could be facing a lengthy prison time if convicted on charges of assault using a semiautomatic firearm and carrying an unregistered and loaded firearm.

Stallion initially refused to name the identity of the man who shot her but later revealed it was the “Say It” hitmaker. It remains to be seen how much this development could affect Peterson’s career. He just released an album called “DAYSTAR” in September. Fans have claimed some of the songs were about Stallion. The prosecutors are looking at setting his bail at at least $1 million during his arraignment.

Meanwhile, Stallion just released a song called “Don’t Stop” in early October featuring Young Thug.
