Meghan Markle was accused of stealing Kate Middleton’s mental health campaign.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced on Instagram that Prince Harry is working with Oprah Winfrey for a mental health documentary. However, according to Carly Read, a journalist for Express, some royal fans were not pleased with the announcement as they felt that it was too similar with the Duchess of Cambridge’s Head Together campaign.

Middleton’s supporters were enraged after realizing the similarities of the two projects. One online user even remarked that before the announcement Prince Harry used to work with Prince William and Middleton for the same cause, now the royal is working with Oprah.

“This seems wrong, don’t think it was Harry’s idea,” one netizen commented.

“So sad @sussexroyal that is nowhere mentioned the name of Duchess Catherine as the initiator of tackling mental health,” another user wrote.

“She and Prince William were strong advocates of mental health issues and tackling the stigma. Please give credit where is due Harry!!” the online user added.

One netizen said that she is curious about Prince Harry’s collaboration with the TV presenter. Meanwhile, another said that “celebrities stick together” referencing to Markle and Oprah.

In 2018, the suicide rate in Paris reduced to 15.5 out of 100,000, the lowest since 1981. According to Vogue, one of the campaigns that contributed to it was Prince William, Middleton and Prince Harry’s Head Together.

In 2016, Prince William revealed that the brain behind the campaign was his wife, Middleton. The duchess was reportedly the first to notice that the three of them are working on mental health in their individual areas of focus.

“She had seen that at the core of adult issues like addiction and family breakdown, unresolved childhood mental health issues were often part of the problem,” Prince William said.

Prince William and Prince Harry have already decided to split their household. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already moved to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. On the other hand, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge remained at Kensington Palace.

Although Prince Harry and Markle just moved into their new home, there were claims that they infuriated their staff already because they banned them from using the car park. However, a senior source at Windsor Castle insisted that it was not the couple who demanded the change.
