Meghan Markle To Appear In ITV’s Documentary ‘Queen Of The World’
Meghan Markle will make her first official television appearance since leaving “Suits” on ITV’s documentary “Queen of the World.”
The Duchess of Sussex will be joining the other members of the royal family in talking about Queen Elizabeth II’s role as the head of the Commonwealth. But Markle will mostly talk about her wedding gown, which will be featured at an exhibition in Windsor Castle next month.
In the teaser released by the network, Markle talked about the Commonwealth and the symbolic importance of the floral Commonwealth emblems that were sewn on her bridal dress.
Markle’s husband, Prince Harry, is also part of the documentary. In the clip, he is seen talking to a group of young people who won places on the Royal Household Caribbean Hospitality Scholarship Initiative.
“You guys have spent way more time in Buckingham Palace than I ever have – and you’ve only been here two weeks,” he joked.
In related news, “Queen of the World” will also center on the role played by the Royal Yacht Britannia in the Queen’s tours of the Commonwealth during the earlier years of her reign as the monarch.
Princess Anne watched a footage from her first trip on the vessel with her brother Charles.
“I have very good memories of that trip… The journey out and the sea nannies that we had to stop us from launching ourselves over the side were very good memories… We were kept very busy. There were lots to do, all sorts of places to go and things to keep clean, lots of scrubbing and polishing, that was part of our role,” Princess Royal said.
“Queen of the World” will premiere on ITV on Sept. 25 at 4:15 p.m. USA time.
In related news, Markle made headlines recently after a source claimed that she has cut ties with some of her friends due to some issues with privacy.
“Meghan has lost touch with some of her close friends from before the wedding, which has been tough. She’s finding it hard to know who to trust,” the source told People.
