Meghan Markle Asked To ‘Switch Up’ Her Wardrobe For This Shocking Reason
Meghan Markle has reportedly been asked to switch up her wardrobe for a surprising reason.
Kathryn Knight, a journalist for Express, revealed that Prince Harry’s wife was asked to dress less like a Hollywood star so that she could be more like traditional royals. Despite looking presentable at her official engagements, Queen Elizabeth II has not always been happy with Markle’s fashion choices.
“Meghan is being told she needs to start dressing less like a Hollywood star and more like a royal,” a source said.
During the “Suits” alum visit to Runcorn in Cheshire, she reportedly irritated the Queen for refusing to wear a hat. She also received a slew of criticisms when she wore a short dress to the musical “Hamilton.”
In related news, Markle also made headlines on Monday after she and Prince Harry were photographed at the Royal Variety Performance. Markle showed off her growing baby bump in her pricey black top designed by Safiyaa and a black floor-length skirt.
The Duchess of Sussex’s top featured an asymmetric hem which cuts across the midriff of her skirt. Markle accentuated her look with her black and gold clutch bag, her diamond earrings, a minimalist makeup, and her messy updo.
Prince Harry attended the event at London’s Dominion Theater wearing his usual coat and tie. The Royal Variety Performance is said to be a favorite among the members of the royal family. The Queen has attended it multiple times, but the last time she graced the event was in 2012.
This year’s Royal Variety Performance featured Take That, Clean Bandit, George Ezra, the cast of “Hamilton,” and the cast of “Tina Turner Musical.” Comedian Greg Davis hosted this year’s show. A footage from the event that was organized to raise money for the Royal Variety Charity will be aired on television next month.
Prince William and Kate Middleton didn’t attend this year’s event.
