Meghan Markle ‘The Best Thing’ That’s Happened To Kate Middleton? Duchess’ Issues Revisited

Meghan Markle is probably the “best thing” that happens to Kate Middleton, according to one source.

According to Grace Macaskill, a journalist of Daily Mirror, before Middleton married Prince William, the media also attacked her. The Duchess of Cambridge was called “Waity Katie,” while her mom Carole Middleton was dubbed a social climber. But the people have since moved on from those issues.

“Meghan Markle has got to be the best thing that ever happened to the Duchess of Cambridge. Let’s face it, pre-Markle Kate Middleton came in for a lot of flack,” Macaskill wrote. “Back in the noughties she was nicknamed Waity Katie because she and Prince William had such a prolonged romance before marriage. Her mum was horribly labelled a social climber and, even on her wedding day, her sister Pippa stole the limelight with her figure-hugging dress. Since then she’s gone on to become an amazing mum-of-three, a fashion icon and a Queen in waiting.”

She believed that Middleton’s issues were overwritten by all the noise her sister-in-law Meghan made. The Duchess of Sussex was also involved in a number of controversies, especially after she and Prince Harry announced that they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family. Prince William and Middleton were taking back the spotlight after the couple renounced their royal title.

“Now we are finally hearing more from Kate, who has opened up about how tough she’s found juggling motherhood and suffers mum-guilt like the rest of us. I want to hear more. I like her. As a nation, it’s like we’ve suddenly woken up to discover who really wears the Crown,” Macaskill added.

According to Katie Nicholl, Middleton has been a model of what a royal princess should be, she was patient and loyal. She waited for almost a decade for Prince William’s proposal prompting the people to call her “Waity Katie.” The expert said Middleton absolutely despised the moniker and over the years she had transformed from that person to becoming the most beloved royal.

Royal commentator Elaine Lui also called Middleton a “social climber.” According to her, Markle wasn’t supposed to go to St. Andrews University but changed schools when she learned that Prince William would be attending there. When they met, she got her way into Prince William’’s circle.
