Meghan Markle Chose An ‘Odd’ Princess Diana Photo For Prince Harry’s Birthday Greeting
Meghan Markle recently greeted Prince Harry on social media on the Duke of Sussex’s 35th birthday.
Celebrity psychologist Jo Hemmings said that the Duchess of Sussex’s short but sweet message to her husband looked carefully curated. Markle also selected some throwback photos to include in her post.
While speaking with The Sun, Hemmings said that the photo of Princess Diana carrying a young Prince Harry on the plane was an odd choice. After all, the “Suits” alum could’ve chosen a photo of the late royal where she looks happier, but she didn’t.
“Of all the pictures she could have chosen Harry and his mother, that’s a very odd one to choose. Why wasn’t she beaming she was so proud of him. It echoes the way that Diana changed the way that royal babies were presented to the world it’s very informal. I think that’s the way that Meghan would like to be, but I’m not sure she is,” he said.
A photo of a Prince Harry on his first day of school at Mrs. Mynor’s was also included in the collage. Hemmings said that the snap is a landmark moment that Markle must have selected to bring some chronology into her post.
Prince William and Prince Harry in their teen years were also featured in one of the photos. Hemmings said that Markle must have been trying to send a message.
Instead of choosing a photo where the royal siblings look happy, Markle opted to upload one where her husband looks disgruntled at his older brother.
“Harry looks very solemn. It looks like he’s perhaps being teased by his older brother and not liking it much. He’s staring straight ahead, obviously irritated by William,” Hemming said.
The celebrity psychologist also noted the fact that Markle didn’t include photos of Prince Harry with Queen Elizabeth, Kate Middleton, and Prince Charles. It is unclear why exactly this was the case but there are rumors that the Queen is disappointed at the royal couple.
Markle and Prince Harry are also said to be fighting with Prince William and Middleton.
