Meghan Markle can reportedly help Victoria Beckham’s struggling empire after she wore an entire ensemble designed by the Spice Girls member on Christmas Day.

Alison Boshoff, a journalist for Daily Mail, said that the power of royal patronage is more than enough to help or even save a brand. Markle and Beckham reportedly forged a friendship when the Duchess of Sussex moved to London after her engagement to Prince Harry.

Months later, reports swirled that Beckham’s fashion empire is once again in the red with losses estimated at over $12 million at Companies House. Markle’s decision to wear Victoria Beckham from head to toe was rumored to be her way of backing her friend and strengthening their friendship.

Last year, Vanity Fair reported that Markle consulted with Beckham about the clothes she wanted to wear, and the designer gave her countless tips.

“They got along well and have been in touch recently. Meghan really likes Victoria’s style and was keep to pick her brains about pulling together a working wardrobe,” the source said.

Fashion retail king Jeff Banks revealed that Beckham may be struggling at the moment because of her enormous flagship store in Dover Street. Banks likened the particular branch to a white elephant.

“The scale of it is excessive. There is very little product in there and I have never seen a customer inside when I have been past it,” he said.

Banks also said that the strategy has been to keep on throwing money at the Victoria Beckham brand even though their costs may seem to be out of control.

On Christmas Day, Prince Harry’s wife was photographed in her elegant calf-length navy dress estimated at $1,500, matching navy coat priced at $2,800, Victoria Beckham boots priced at $1,500 and her $1,400 handbag.

Markle stunned in her entire ensemble, but she previously vowed not to wear clothes by the designer because they didn’t look good on her. Last year, Markle also said that she has learned that not all clothes that look great on other women will look the same on her.
