Meghan Markle is reportedly keen to cut off the public from her life.

The Duchess of Sussex stepped out for the first time after her emotional interview when she attended the One Young World Summit Opening Ceremony at Royal Albert Hall. Body language expert Judi James examined her actions, and according to her, Markle is creating at barrier and is keen to cut off the public from her life following the ITV documentary.

“During her dramatic, close-up to camera interview over the weekend Meghan revealed verbally and non-verbally the pressure and pain behind the confident smiles,” James said. “Having shown her vulnerability via her widely rounded eye expression and fluctuating smiles/expressions of sadness during her emotional chat in South Africa it was partly business as usual for this first smiling appearance back in the UK, but with some body language clues suggesting the vulnerability was still present.”

James noted how Markle used to pin back her hair or tuck it behind her ears. However, in her recent sighting, she allowed it to fall over her face creating “curtains” that provided a “cut-off,” so she can partially hide behind in those parts and stay hidden by her hair.

“She seems to be holding one hand or both high to her body and again this trait can suggest the desire to create a partial barrier. When she walks and shakes hands she’s holding her left hand quite high. When she is seen clapping both hands are again held high and quite close to the face. This gesture, with the fingers pointing upward, can suggest she’s enthralled by what she’s seeing but it can also form a cut-off, comfort-barrier ritual," she said.

However, other than those movements, Markle’s smile was as wide and as positive. Her eye expression also suggested pleasure and excitement.

James said earlier that Markle was eloquent about her causes. However, her smile became more difficult when she was asked about her emotions. She also showed vulnerability behind her smile. On the other hand, Prince Harry’s emotions range from sadness and grief to protecting his family.

Meanwhile, royal biographer Angela Levin noted how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared unhappy. According to him, Prince Harry felt and looked “incredibly miserable and unhappy.” She added that Markle also looked unhappy and “incredibly sad,” so they couldn’t help each other at the moment.
