Meghan Markle Doesn’t Have ‘Close’ Relationship With Mom Doria Ragland

Although there have been numerous reports suggesting Meghan Markle has a strong relationship with her Doria Ragland, sources are claiming the Duchess of Sussex is not “very close” to her mom.

After Meghan and Prince Harry welcomed their baby boy Archie, Doria was photographed at her grandson’s christening and appeared to share a special bond with the couple.

However, a source told Us Weekly the former “Suits” star doesn’t have a tight-knit relationship with her mother. “She’s not very close with her mom,” the insider revealed.

The 63-year-old reportedly lives in Los Angeles and “has no plans to relocate to Canada or anywhere for that matter” to be closer to her Meghan, Prince Harry and baby Archie.

Instead, Doria plans to continue her private life in sunny California. “She is currently giving private yoga lessons to a select few clients,” the source explained.

“Doria would only see Meghan once or twice a year while filming Suits in Toronto. Meghan isn’t as close to her mom as is known,” the insider continued.

The source’s description of Meghan and Doria’s relationship appears to be the opposite of what one insider told the Daily Mail last week.

“Doria comes across as this nose-ring wearing, dreadlocked hippy, but she has total self-belief, something she passed on to Meghan. Doria’s advice to Meghan was always, ‘Don’t give the milk away for free,’” the source claimed.

“When Meghan and Harry announced they were walking away from their jobs as Royals to be financially independent, it immediately smacked Doria. Being financially independent has always been important to her.”

Although Doria attended Meghan and Prince Harry’s wedding and was on hand for a special event in her grandson’s life, it seems her relationship with her daughter may not be as strong as it appears to be.
