Meghan Markle Dubbed ‘Disney Villain,’ Will Never Be As Popular As Kate

Meghan Markle has been dubbed as a “Disney Villain” by royal experts who are also convinced that she will never be more popular than Kate Middleton.

In an article for The Guardian, Yomi Adegoke noted that while the two duchesses may behave comparably, the reaction that they receive from royal fans are quite different.

“Meghan’s casting as a Disney villain – a black female divorcee with a penchant for black dresses (another protocol breach) – practically writes itself. Meghan never stood a chance…” the royal expert wrote.

Adegoke went on to say that Markle has broken royal protocol just like Middleton by wearing above-the-knee dresses, but the reactions she received were much less compared to Prince William’s wife.

Meanwhile, journalist Cecilia Rodriguez wrote in a Forbes report that Markle is experiencing a “new everything.”

“When a new member, by marriage, arrives, some changes are inevitable even in a royal court ruled by rigid protocol and tradition. After all, and unlike the rest of the royal family, all that Meghan is going through is totally new to her and she’s in the process of taking it all in and adapting,” she said.

Markle and Middleton have been pitted against each other ever since the former joined the royal family last year. But the comparisons between the two royals heightened amid rumors that they are feuding with each other. Markle was rumored to have made Middleton cry during Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fitting.

Prince Harry’s wife has also been dubbed as Difficult Duchess amid reports that she’s tough to work with. Three of her royal aides have also resigned since the rumors swirled.

But Markle and Middleton silenced all the feud rumors when they attended the Christmas church service in Sandringham last month. The two were spotted talking to each other, and they also appeared to be having a good time. However, it was Prince William and Prince Harry that didn’t talk at that time.

Prince William also seemingly snubbed Markle when he opted to fix his scarf rather than talk to his sister-in-law.
