Don't mess with Meghan Markle, or else her fans will come after you. Just ask Piers Morgan.

After news broke that several female MPs from the House of Commons wrote a letter in "solidarity" with the Duchess for "taking a stand against the often distasteful and misleading nature" of some articles written about her, the Morgan shared his opinion on Twitter.

"WOW," the "Good Morning Britain" co-anchor tweeted. "Female MPs accuse press of being racist towards Meghan Markle. I hope they can justify that extraordinary claim, and that they urgently clarify which stories they think are unfairly intrusive?"

He continued, "This looks like a very dangerous attempt to suppress freedom of the press."

Although it's true that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, it was very obvious that some social media users believed that Morgan's was wrong.

"Not really," one Twitter user responded. "Just calling out a coordinated campaign by the right wing press and certain ‘journalisnts’ [sic]."

Another accused him of using Meghan for his own personal gain. "He talk about meghan to keep relevant," they wrote.

It wasn't an all-out Twitter war against the 54-year-old ITV broadcaster, though. Some users agreed with his notion that proof is needed to support Meghan and the House's claims against the media.

"These women need to produce their evidence thick and fast," one user shared. "We are all waiting!"
