Although Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been married for over a year and have a baby together, the Duchess of Sussex is reportedly insecure about her husband’s past relationships.

Since Meghan and Harry’s royal wedding in May 2018, the Duke of Sussex has reportedly kept his distance from his ex-girlfriends, Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas. Following news of Bonas’ engagement to Harry Wentworth Stanley, a journalist suggested Meghan may feel threatened by her husband’s exes.

Adam Helliker told The Sun that Bonas, who attended Meghan and Harry’s wedding, will invite the couple to her nuptials. However, the reporter claims Meghan may try to create further distance between her husband, and his exes.

“Meghan is known to feel less comfortable with his Harry’s former girlfriends, particularly Chelsy Davy, who was the prince’s first love, and with whom he went out, on and off, for seven years,” he explained.

“It was Meghan who ensured that Chelsy was not included on the list for the evening party after their wedding. This was a very pointed snub when many of Harry and Chelsy’s mutual friends from pre-Meghan days were invited to the Frogmore House party.”

Bonas and Davy reportedly ended their relationships with Prince Harry due to the unwanted attention they received from the press.

Despite their splits, the 34-year-old remained in contact with his ex-girlfriends. However, royal expert, Katie Nicholl previously told Cosmopolitan Harry cut the women out of his life after he married Meghan.

“As you would expect and understand, when Harry eventually got married he was always going to sever ties with his exes. My understanding is he has very little to do with them now,” she explained.

“He had a sort of farewell conversation with Chelsy where he spoke to her to basically say goodbye, and I think probably Cressida and Chelsy both knew that after the wedding they wouldn’t see much of Prince Harry.”

Despite reports about Meghan’s reservations toward Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriends, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have continued to put on a united front as they raise their son, Archie Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
