Meghan Markle, Harry Must Be Stripped Of Royal Titles

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry should renounce their royal titles.

Last Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex rocked the palace and shocked the world when they announced that they are stepping back from their royal roles. They announced that they will continue to collaborate with Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Prince William. And they swore to work hard to become financially independent.

Following their huge announcement, JL Partners conducted a poll. Prince Harry and Markle have become more popular that they gained almost 500,000 new followers on Instagram. But many were not happy after learning they made the announcement without consulting the Queen, The Mirror reported.

Sixty percent of the public indicated that the couple treated the Queen shoddily. Meanwhile, 51 percent believed that the Sussexes should lose their royal titles. Also, 54 percent wanted Prince William’s brother to relinquish his rights of accession to the throne. Another 60 percent of the people wanted the royal couple to be evicted from the Frogmore Cottage.

Patrick Jephson, author of “The Meghan Factor,” also stated that Prince Harry and Markle should be stripped of their royal titles or they risk the accusations of corruption. Princess Diana’s former private secretary said that it’s not right for Prince Harry and Markle to still connect with the royals while they want to thrive somewhere else.

“The use of public office to make private wealth is called corruption, and the Queen expects members of her family to abide by the rules of ethical standards in public life,” Jephson wrote.

“So the Sussexes should really welcome the opportunity to renounce their titles and thus remove temptation from unscrupulous foreign hustlers, angling to exploit their former Royal status. It’s not a question of vengeance or punishment, it’s just reality.”

Queen Elizabeth II was reportedly furious and disappointed at Prince Harry and Markle’s decision especially since they didn’t consult the senior members of the Firm before dropping the huge announcement. The Duke of Cambridge and Prince of Wales were also “incandescent with rage.”

Queen Elizabeth II has summoned Prince Harry for a four-way meeting with Prince Charles and Prince William. The Duke of Sussex is attending sans wife Meghan because the duchess has already flown back to Canada.
