Meghan Markle Has Something Princess Diana Never Had, Paul Burrell Says
Meghan Markle has something that Princess Diana never had.
The Duchess of Sussex is often compared to the late Princess of Wales. Others claim that Markle is the next Princess Diana while the rest doubt and insist that she will never be. A source close to the People's Princess claims that Markle is blessed with something that Princess Diana lacks.
Paul Burrell told New! (via Daily Star) that the new royal has "something that Diana never had – a man stood beside her who truly adores her."
Princess Diana and Prince Charles' relationship was very far from Prince Harry and Markle's. The Prince of Wales loved Camilla Parker Bowles, but the palace didn't approve the Duchess of Cornwall because she was seen as an "experienced" woman and was not "sophisticated" enough for the future king. Prince Charles admitted that they had an affair during his marriage to Princess Diana.
Meanwhile, Burrell added that Prince Harry's reaction to Markle and her dad Thomas Markle Sr.'s drama is the same to how Princess Diana would react if she was still alive. The former royal butler shared some words he learned from Prince Harry's mom.
"I've been in similar situations where people said things about Princess Diana, and the way she dealt with it was by freezing them out," Burrell explained. "It looks as if Harry has taken a leaf out of his mother's book."
"Diana said: 'Once someone burns the bridge of trust towards you it's very hard to repair it'," Burrell continued. "Harry is his mother's son and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. She would be furious if someone betrayed her and the only way she could deal with it is to cut them off completely."
In related news, Markle's half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., had graced another interview where he questioned the palace's treatment to them and compared it to how the royals treated the Middleton's. According to him, Kate Middleton's family is not perfect, her Uncle Gary was also involved in a scandal prior to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's royal wedding in 2011, but the controversial uncle still received an invite to their nuptials.
"They have [brought outsiders in] before in the past like with the Middletons. I don't see why our family is any different," Thomas Jr. told Daily Mail.
