Meghan Markle previously revealed that Ivanka Trump, the daughter of President Donald Trump, is one of her idols.

Andrew Morton, a royal biographer, and author shared the information in his book “Meghan: A Hollywood Princess.”

“Before Donald Trump had entered the race for the presidency, one of Meghan’s female idols was businesswoman Ivanka Trump, who had her own jewelry and clothing line. She was thrilled when Ivanka agreed to fill in her simple questionnaire for The Tig. More thrilled when she accepted her invitation to meet for drinks and dinner the next time Meghan was in New York,” Morton wrote (via Express).

In her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig, Markle even penned an article about Trump. She said that she thinks the businesswoman has the formula for success.

“Don’t get me started on her jewelry collection: the late-night ‘window shopping’ I have done on my computer, snuggled up in my bed with a glass of wine, staring longingly at the beautiful designs. And there are the shoes, the home collection, the clothing, and the natural extension of her brand with a kids’ collection – a smart choice given that she is now a proud mama. When we have drinks, I will make sure I order whatever she does – because this woman seems to have the formula for success (and happiness) down pat,” she wrote.

But despite Markle’s fondness for Trump, it seems that she doesn’t have the same liking for the country’s president. In 2016, she called Mr. Trump divisive and misogynistic. While on “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore,” the Duchess of Sussex said that she will move to Canada if Mr. Trump becomes president.

“It’s really the moment I go, we film ‘Suits’ in Toronto and I might just stay in Canada. Yes, of course, Trump is divisive, think about female voters alone, right? I think it was in 2012 the Republican Party lost the female vote by 12 points; this is a huge number with as misogynistic as Trump is, and so vocal about it, this is a huge chunk of it,” she said (via Refinery29).
