Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton Will Face New Royal 'Pressure' After Queen Elizabeth's Retirement
Over the past few years, reports have surfaced that suggest Queen Elizabeth II is getting ready to step back from royal duties. This was particularly evident in October when royal watchers noticed Prince Charles' presence at the State Opening of Parliament. Many believe that his presence was Her Majesty's way of gradually helping the public become more accustomed to seeing him in such a manner.
Now, as reported by the Sun, royal commentator Kate Nicholl revealed to Closer magazine that she believes Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are going to be under new pressure to "step up" in the coming months.
As stated by the expert, the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex will be "forced" to work together once Meghan and Harry return from their six-week hiatus from royal duties.
"I think after a festive break, both Kate and Meghan will know that joint ventures to support the Queen are not only part of their duty, but also good for the public image," Nicholl said. She then added that Kate understands that there is a "pressure" on her and Meghan to "save the royal family, to an extent."
Continuing she added, "Although the Cambridges and Sussexes have their own charities, I think the Queen's move towards retirement will force them to work closely with each other."

If, in fact, Meghan and Kate do begin working together, it would be a positive change from the ongoing feud rumors that the two women continually face. Earlier this year, it was reported that their different personalities were to blame for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex exiting The Royal Foundation, an initiative they once shared with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
However, not all of the reports about their relationship have been negative, as some have recently speculated that Meghan has influenced Kate's style behind the scenes.
