Meghan Markle Lost Another Aide; PR Chose Kate Middleton, William After Split

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry lost another aide after they decided to officially split from Kate Middleton and Prince William.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex used to share their staff. However, since they are formally separating and will be based in different palaces, their team will also be split. Prince Harry and Markle will have their own team.

According to Emily Andrew, royal correspondent for The Sun, the fab four’s spin doctor who oversaw Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding in May 2018 decided to abandon them to be with Prince William and Middleton. Jason Knauf who had a big role at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s big day was appointed to be the future king and queen’s “senior adviser“ for their charities.

Knauf is the latest aide that Prince Harry and Markle lost in the last six months. Just recently, Markle’s private secretary Amy Pickerill and deputy communication officer Katrina McKeever resigned from their royal jobs.

Daily Mirror Royal Editor Russell Myers spoke about the issue in “Pod Save the Queen ” podcast. According to him, they were told earlier that the staff will be split across the Cambridges and Sussexes as Prince Harry and Markle couldn’t hire any staff until the Queen says so. However, none of their shared staff opted to be with Prince Harry and Markle.

“That hasn’t happened – all the staff have gone with the Cambridges, and Harry and Meghan are going to have to find their own staff,” Myers said.

Myers added that following their split from Prince William and Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle won’t be able to set up their court as they wanted. As of late, they need an “awful lot of staff“ to build themselves.

In November 2018, Prince Harry and Markle lost three aides. Many are concerned when the couple’s PA Melissa Touabti decided to vacate her post. According to sources, she was a “hugely talented person” who played a significant role during Prince Harry and Markle’s nuptials. They couldn’t believe why she would vacate such a prestigious royal job.

There were speculations that there’s something wrong with the way Prince Harry and Markle treat their staff. One insider said that it’s inevitable to lose one household member but to lose three in a few months is like a “stampede.”
