Meghan Markle Makes Appearance In Hallmark’s ‘A Winter Princess’ 2019 Movie
Meghan Markle retired from acting after getting engaged to Prince Harry in 2017 (and marrying him in 2018), but she’s still showing up in various new movies and shows. Recently, she was included in the new Hallmark Channel Winterfest movie, “A Winter Princess.”
The film, which is about an incognito princess named Carly (Natalie Hall) helping an American ski lodge put together its annual Snow Ball, used a photo of not only Markle but also Prince Harry, Kate Middleton and Princess Diana.
The real-life royals appear in “A Winter Princess” after a guy helping Carly with the event finds a piece of her mail with her name written as “HRH Carlotta.” He goes to Google to search that name and discovers she’s actually HRH Carlotta, Princess of Landora. On the same page, it shows that people who searched for her also searched for Middleton, Markle, Princess Diana and Prince Harry. Each of the real royals has a photo shown alongside their name.
For the fictional princess, she was given a full description.
“Carlotta, Princess of Landora, Duchess of Vassel-Madeland, is the youngest child and only daughter of King Kristof of Landora, the royal ruler of the small European nation and symbolic head of state. She is second in the line of ascendance to the throne after her brother, Prince Gustav, the heir apparent.”
It’s only fitting that Hallmark mentions the Duchess of Sussex in its new royal romance because Markle used to be, which means forever will be, part of the Hallmark family. She starred in two movies on the network —2014’s “When Sparks Fly” and 2016’s “Dater’s Handbook.” The latter of the two was not only her final Hallmark movie but also her final movie, in general, before leaving her acting career behind.
She’s now married to Prince Harry and pregnant with their first child. The two are preparing to move into their new residence, Frogmore Cottage.
