Meghan Markle May Give Royal Baby ‘Unique African Middle Name,’ Source Says
Meghan Markle may be considering playing around with her baby’s name by giving it a unique African moniker.
Etiquette expert Myka Meier told The Sun that while Markle and Prince Harry’s baby’s first name will be traditional, the rest of its names will be more playful and non-traditional.
“In the royal wedding, she had several nods to her American heritage and I think we will see the same with the baby. I think we will see them playing with a middle name… I don’t believe it will one of Meghan’s family’s names,” she said.
Meier said that she is convinced Baby Sussex’s middle name will have a significant meaning or something symbolic of Markle and Prince Harry’s travels together. And since they both love Africa, it is possible that their baby’s middle name will be inspired by the country.
“Maybe they could have a middle name that is symbolic of the work that they do together or a country they have visited or have a mutual love of. I think the baby’s first name will be British and classic, perhaps a family name,” she said.
Meanwhile, the etiquette expert also said that Markle and Prince Harry will have less pressure when it comes to choosing a name for their baby since the young royal will never be Queen or King. The same thing cannot be said about Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children.
All three royal kids were given traditional British names because they are direct heirs to the throne. Prince George will eventually become King after his dad abdicates or dies.
In related news, there are rumors suggesting that Markle and Prince Harry will move to Africa shortly after the “Suits” alum gives birth. Multiple sources said that the move would be done in an attempt to keep the royal couple out of the limelight for a little bit.
A source told The Sunday Times that the palace is worried Markle and Prince Harry would establish their own enterprise that nobody would be able to control.
