KEY POINTS

  • Meghan Markle is not pregnant with her second child
  • Meghan Markle will most likely not make a pregnancy announcement this year
  • Meghan Markle will prioritize her royal duties over expanding her family

Meghan Markle may have been rumored to be pregnant throughout the past couple of months, but it seems unlikely for the Duchess of Sussex to make an announcement anytime soon.

While speaking with OK! Magazine, royal expert Omid Scobie said that Markle and Prince Harry will be focusing on their royal duties rather than expanding their family this year.

Other than the royal couple’s busy schedule, Julie Jomeen, a professor at the University of Hull, previously told Express that Markle may wait for an entire year before she gets pregnant with her second child.

Since the Duchess of Sussex was already over 35 years old when she gave birth to her Archie, there is a need for her to wait until after a year to get pregnant again.

“Ultimately, it has to be a woman's choice, what is important is that they are aware of the evidence around birth spacing and that they make their choice based on good evidenced-based information,” she said.

But Jomeen also stressed that the decision to get pregnant and when to get pregnant entirely depends on the woman and her husband.

Meanwhile, even though the Duchess of Sussex has not yet made a pregnancy announcement, her recent appearance sparked rumors that she could be expecting baby number two.

Markle and Prince Harry visited the Canada House in London to personally say thank you for the warmth and hospitality that they received during their recent trip to Toronto.

The Duchess of Sussex looked much slender in her skirt and coat. Before Markle announced her first pregnancy last year, she was usually photographed wearing a coat in an attempt to hide her growing baby bump.

Eagle-eyed netizens also claimed that the “Suits” alum’s breasts looked weird, which could be an indication that she’s pregnant.

“Oh my gosh… Is Meghan Markle pregnant again?” Twitter user @simoneaustina said.

“All eyes on Meghan Markle, speculation she is pregnant,” Twitter user @HollywoodBlvd1 said.
