Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might be doing a tell-all interview.

According to Dan Wootton, executive editor of The Sun, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could do a tell-all interview with Gayle King. He believed that after a string of high-profile PR disasters, the couple could turn to a more traditional publicity opportunities and that includes sitting for an interview.

Wootton learned that American broadcaster King has been actively lobbying Markle to sit down with her for a tell-all joint interview with her husband, Prince Harry. He added that Oprah Winfrey’s best friend has high chances of securing a chat with the royal couple because after they were introduced to each other, Markle and King have started to communicate regularly.

King was also invited for a meeting with Markle at Windsor just days before the duchess gave birth to baby Archie in May. Gay is one of the most popular American news anchors. She is the host of breakfast TV show “CBS This Morning” and would certainly be a high-profile ally for the Sussexes.

However, Wootton warned the couple against it. According to him, if they would push with the interview, they might face criticism from the UK media.

“The couple would face criticism from the UK media if they chose to grant such a major interview to a US broadcaster any time soon. But as we have seen many times before, this is a couple determined to throw out royal precedent and do things their way,” he wrote.

For weeks now, Prince Harry and Markle have been slammed for their lifestyle. Many weren’t happy when they took four private flights in 11 days while calling the people to do their bits of good to save the planet. According to an insider, Markle is frustrated with the royal life and is working on a tight-knit group of non-royal advisers that she considers “her people.”

Markle is weary of how the royals handle matters and wants to do something on her own. In fact, the duchess is reportedly working with attorney Rick Genow, business manager Andrew Meyer and talent agent Nick Collins for her future projects. The insider said that it’s worrying because Markle’s children’s book would usually be handled by a Palace staff.
