  • Kate Middleton and Prince William, allegedly, ignored the Duke and Duchess of Sussex
  • Prince Harry, reportedly, decided to move his family to Canada since Meghan Markle has been receiving endless disparagements  from the British public

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue to face backlash more than two months since they announced their decision to ditch the royal life for good. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed, in January, that they plan to focus more on their only son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, as they live privately in Vancouver Island in Canada. British citizens and some members of the royal family, reportedly, gave Meghan and Harry cold reception when they returned to the United Kingdom recently.

Woman’s Weekly New Zealand claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were told that they will not be entering Westminster Abbey as part of Queen Elizabeth’s formal procession at this year’s Commonwealth Day Service. Archie’s parents were, instead, ordered to sit before Her Majesty’s arrival. This, according to the publication, shocked the Sussex couple since they were included in the entourage last year.

A source told the entertainment news outlet that Prince William and Kate Middleton refused to join Queen Elizabeth’s entrance to not exacerbate the tense situation. Instead, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge decided to join Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in the venue before the VIPs made their grand entrance.

“The fact that William and Kate offered to arrive earlier was a thoughtful gesture. Apparently Harry and Meghan were upset to learn they had been dropped from the VIP party for what was their final appearance as senior royals,” the insider claimed. However, the strain was, reportedly, obvious during the royal affair. The magazine reported that Prince William and Kate Middleton did not respond when Prince Harry said hello and Meghan smiled and waved at them.

“This could so easily – with the merest of smiles and waves, or even the barest of conversations – have been an occasion of reconciliation in front of the cameras,” royal commentator Tom Sykes stated. “Instead it was an excruciating ignore-athon – a masterclass of social distancing. If this is what things are like when this lot is on their best behavior, imagine being a fly on the wall when all hell broke loose between them at Kensington Palace,” he went on.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have yet to comment on Tom’s statements.

Meanwhile, Us Weekly reported that the younger son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana “snapped” over how the former “Suits” actress was being treated in the U.K. The criticisms and harsh reception of the British public, allegedly, made Prince Harry decide to move Meghan Markle and Archie to Canada.
